Newark Charter has three campuses along Elkton Road between Christina Parkway (DE Route 4) and the Delaware / Maryland State Line.
Meece Campus
Newark Charter School’s Meece Campus, named in honor of our first school director Gregory Meece, Sr., includes the 76,000 square foot Primary School (grades K-2) and the 56,000 square foot Intermediate School (grades 3-5) located on approximately 24 acres. The beautiful campus includes spacious outdoor settings for recess and recreation, including a 150-seat outdoor pavilion; a play space with swings, climbing equipment, and sliding boards; a large athletic field; multi-station fitness trail; a hard-surface area with basketball courts, and a wooded nature area. Both Primary and Intermediate school buildings have beautiful gymnasiums, computer labs, a Library/Media Center, Art Rooms and Music Rooms.
In April 2021, the Commons was built connecting the Primary and Intermediate Schools.

Junior High
Newark Charter’s 1089 Elkton Rd building is the home to the Junior High School, as well as the Business Office. The Junior High School, which serves grades 6-8, opened in August 2022 and us located adjacent to the Meece campus. This 93,000 sq. ft. building has a cafetorium, gym, library, science labs, performing arts space and athletic fields dedicated to meeting the needs of the nearly 750 Junior High school students.

Senior High
Newark Charter School’s McIntire Drive building is home to the Senior High School (grades 9-12) located on approximately 21 acres. The campus includes three athletic fields for a variety of boys and girls athletic teams and parking for more than 400 cars. The 125,000 square foot facility includes a full-size gymnasium with retractable bleachers, six basketball courts, and locker rooms; a modern library/media center; three technology labs; a state-of-the art engineering STEM lab, three choral and instrumental music rooms; eight science laboratories and a cafetorium with a performing arts stage, kitchen and spacious dining area.
