It’s “all business” at state conference
Students had the opportunity to showcase their skills in the field of business at the Business Professionals of America (BPA) regional state conference at Dover Downs. From C++ Programming to Interview Skills and Prepared Speech, BPA offers a wide range of business and finance related events. NCS students participated in 25 events and received 21 awards. Kavya Beldona and Hannah Kim each received $1,000 scholarships for their first place finish in website design. In total, 19 students will attend the National BPA Conference held in Boston in May.Other top-three BPA state medalists from NCS are: Gwen Ryan (1st in Administrative Support Concepts and 3rd in Legal Office Procedures), Tanvi Venkatesh (1st in Business Meeting Management Concepts), Caleb Davis (1st in C++ Programming), Noah Rossi (1st in Computer Programming Concepts), Jesse Yarovoy (1st in PC Servicing and Troubleshooting), Rumi Khan (2nd in Extemporaneous Speech), Noah Rossi, Ben Caruccio and Caleb Davis (2nd in Video Production Team), Megan Chen (3rd in Prepared Speech), Tanvi Venkatesh, Natalie Ziemba, Madi Turner and Emma Archer (3rd in Presentation Management Team).
