Medals presented to Science Olympians
The Science Olympiad competitions give junior and senior high school teams the opportunity to compete in a variety of events related to many scientific disciplines including earth science, biology, chemistry, physics as well as engineering.Twenty-two junior high students participated in 19 of the 23 events at the competition. Medal winners included: Dynamic Planet - Gabrielle Ryu & Emma Ryan, Food Science - Dhruvi Patel & Shriya Mandavilli, Disease Detectives - Rohan Kanchana & Ritika Mandavilli, Crime Busters - Wesley Mills & Anika Mandavilli, Bio Process - Gabrielle Ryu & Emma Ryan , Picture This - Sam Bolan &Kyle Sang, Meteorology - Megan Chen, Mission Possible - Jamie Stokes , Air Trajectory - Selina Chen & Helen Zhou, Anatomy - Juliette Hartmann & Riya Setty, Elastic Glider - Sam Bolan & Kyle Sang, and Reach for the Stars - Juliette Hartmann & Riya Setty.Thirty students participated on two high school teams, including the following medalists: Dynamic Planet - Simran Kaur & Paige Hunley, Disease Detectives - Olivia Skaug & Ravina Sashti, Wright Stuff - Santoshi Kandula & Shaily Patel, Wind Power - Sarah Ho & Steven Booth, Experimental Design - Shaily Patel, Erin Dickert & Sophia Hannah, Protein Modeling - Prem Krishnaprasad, Teja Dantuluri & Olivia Duke, Cell Biology- Santoshi Kandula & Shaily Patel, and Forensics - Erin Dickert & Teja Dantuluri.
