Fifth graders meet Poets Laureate

Identical twins Al Mills and Nnamdi Chukwuocha, known as the Twin Poets, visited Mrs. James’ 5th grade class in February. The Delaware Poets Laureate, appointed by former Governor Markell, are social workers, award-winning spoken word poets and community activists. The visit was made possible by the Shay Family who “won” the opportunity to have the Twin Poets visit NCS at the annual Auction. The Poets discussed their backgrounds and their love of language. They played word games with the students, who then wrote and shared their own poems.
