Unified Flag Football Wins Second State Title

The NCS Patriots defeated Smyrna 27-8 to win the Unified flag football state championship on December 2 at Delaware Stadium. The Unified flag football program, a partnership between Special Olympics Delaware and the Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association, is now in its second year. Each team has Special Olympics athletes and unified partners (peers without disabilities) on the field at the same time.  This is Newark Charter's second consecutive year as state champions.
