Children’s author visits second grade

John Micklos, children’s book author and former NCS parent, visited the Primary School  to guide the 2nd grade students in “The Power of Poetry: Poetry Writing Workshop.” Mr. Micklos inspired our student writers to express themselves through poetry.  He shared several published poems that he wrote to help guide the students through their own poetry journey.  Ms. Lynn Hagen, 2nd grade team leader shared, “Mr. Micklos conveyed to the students that THEY ARE WRITERS and sparked an enthusiasm in their own expression through poetry.”
