US-China Strong Student Ambassadors

Justin Duca, Lawson Schultz and Izaak Rodriguez have been recognized by Governor Markell for their demonstrated passion and commitment to the study of Mandarin. During the summer of 2016, these three students as well as others from Newark Charter School participated in the month-long Delaware Summer Chinese Language Initiative for Communication STEM (LInCS) in Hangzhou, China. As a result of their proficiency in Mandarin, Justin, Lawson and Izaak have been selected to represent Delaware as a US-China Strong Student Ambassador. They will assist the expansion and diversification of the number of young people locally as well as around the country studying the Chinese language and culture.
